Adventures in Baking!

Pie.  Lots of Pie.  Why pie?  It is small.  It doesn't rise.  It fits in my now micro sized oven.

Just Cutting Up!

I spent this past Saturday making pies-one of my first homemade pies (other than pumpkin with the recipe on the side of the pie mix) ever.  Do note that the crust was however store bought-otherwise, homemade!  Apple from the recipe on the crust box, Fudge from allrecipes.com.
Stripping!

Apples to Apples

All dressed up and ready to go!

Hot Hot Hot!

Please refrain from licking the screen!

The After Party!

Homemade almond whipped topping! Wowza!
Nooks and Crannies!

Fudgy Goodness!
The finished products!

2 pies-4 people-too much!
Two are better than one!

I might (not) have shared this plate!

A Letter to our Dear Friends from PA:

Dear Mrs Deer,

I have soo enjoyed seeing you almost every day!  Your baby is very cute!  I had never seen a fuzzy baby deer before until your let us see your baby.  It was a lot of fun having you watch tv with us.  Trystan and Alexis REALLY liked getting to hang out with you and your baby too!  It is too bad it has been soo cold and icy out for you, but you seem to be making it ok.  I like that the snow lets us see where you have been the night before while we slept.  I think you may have been keeping warm under the camper, that is ok, just make sure you don't wake the kids up scooting around under there and watch out for cords and lines!  Well, I have some photos I took from when you and your baby came to hang out so here they are.  Have a great day Mrs Deer!  See you soon!

Always,
Lori Jean with Love and Hugs from Chris, Alexis & Trystan

ps-Hug baby deer for us!

God has created soo many beautiful creatures,
I am glad we got to share some time with these creatures
going about their natural day.  Not in a zoo or hung on a wall.

This my friends is one of those moments we live for,
one of those moments these two children will never forget!
It is why we are here, why we do what we do.
One of those moments that makes it all worthwhile.
